My Journey (Week 1)

Hey guys!
I know I haven’t been updating often and I apologise, I’ve been really
caught up with my school as well as social life recently that I barely have
time for myself!
Anyways, the reason why I’m here today is to let you guys know about
the journey that I’ve embarked.
Well, it’s pretty obvious to most people, but in order for me to
continue this blog entry, I’m just going to say it, I’ve fat. THERE I SAID IT!!
And the journey that I’ve embarked on is, well, weight loss. *Duh*
I’ve started since the 20th July 2015, and today marks the
end of week 1!
I’m not going to tell you about how much I lost day-by-day, cause I
didn’t check. But I am going to tell you how many inches I lost per week,
however, you’ll probably have to wait for the entry on the 8th
August 2015 to find out cause I’m still not quite comfortable or really
confident to say it yet.
Before I let you know about my boring routine this week, I just wanted
to tell you why I suddenly decided to lose weight even though I’m known for my
random spontaneous actions.
Well, I’ve been called fat a lot since last year till now, and I’ve
always been able to brush it off, but the thing is that even though a person
can ignore or brush off the negativity, it doesn’t make it okay to say those
hurtful things to them, I’m not saying that I can’t handle the truth, trust me,
I can, but never the less, I still have my insecurities, I mean, who doesn’t?
But it doesn’t give anyone the rights to shame you about it. It was to the
extent that I would cry about it at night but the next day, or when I’m out
with my friends or family, I would have the confidence of a queen and handle
the unkind situation with sass and humor.
An example of this situation is:
I’ve this close friend that I meet every once in a while and everytime
I see her the first thing she says is “Ball(my nickname from my chinese name) did you gain
weight?”.
Literally every god-forsaken time!
Or it’ll be from my family, my dad would always be the one that’s
commenting about it, but again I’ll brush it off.
But I guess the meanest encounter would be:
One evening when I was working out in my room and my boyfriend doing
his school assignments, my dad came home and my boyfriend and I came out to
greet him, when he asked what we were doing, I said “oh, I’m exercising”. He
replied “Okay, it’s good that you are, you gained a lot of weight recently” and
the moment he finished his sentence, my boyfriend, laughed really loudly at me
as I closed the door.
I think that was my breaking point and probably the reason why I
decided to lose weight.
But I think that what I’m grateful for is probably how supportive my
friends are!
I’ve been packing some lunch to school everyday and working out twice a
day for a week and honestly I’m seeing the results!! It’s not extremely obvious
yet but maybe after these 3 weeks it will be!
Well the reason why I’m making this 3 weeks instead of a month is
cause, my two best friends and I decided not to meet one another this whole 3
weeks just so we can lose the weight together and when we meet, see if we can
see the difference in one another!
I hope we can! *fingers crossed*
I’m planning to do a before and after picture
collage so, I hope this works!
So here’s my meal plan this week!!
Just saying, I’m not a dietitian, nutritionist
or anything professional.
I’m just a girl who’s trying to lose weight!
So here it is!
Breakfast:
Oatmeal
Lunch:
Salmon Wrap
Snacks:
Roasted non salted almonds
Dinner:
Vegetable
Meat
Fish
(Small portions, No rice)
And this new rule I’ve set is, I won’t eat after 7pm.
It’s a bit of a struggle cause most of the time if my lessons end at
5~5:30pm onwards, it’ll probably mean that I will not be having my dinner due
to the fact that it takes almost 2 hours to get home.
I work out twice a day
Morning: 30mins
Evening: 1~1.5 hours
So that’s all I have to say!!
